Student researcher
This PhD began at the Bushfire CRC and was completed in 2015. Using a simulated fireground environment, the research investigated the effects of sleep restriction and stress responses on firefighters. It studied whether the physiological stress response is affected be a lack of sleep, and whether emergency work can have a negative impact on health.
Alex's thesis is available here.
