This project was commissioned and funded entirely by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, Victoria.
This research aimed to reconstruct the emissions and downwind concentrations of PM2.5 and CO produced from the March: 2018 Cobden peat fires. It determined the level of accuracy from the plume modelling and air quality forecasting systems during the incident and identify areas where algorithms and input data can be improved.
