About

Chloe is a so-called "boundary spanner" or "knowledge broker" with a PhD in human geography with a focus on collaborative disaster risk management and a passion for knowledge translation. She worked in academia for over 10 years and has now been at Victoria’s Country Fire Authority for 4 years. In her role at CFA, she works in the space between research and practice.

Chloe leads and contributes to a number of research projects where she aims to facilitate knowledge sharing and production between researchers and fire agency personnel. Chloe has learnt and is learning a lot about what it takes to conduct research that is fit for agency use and how to encourage and enable evidence-based decision making within fire agencies. Chloe is also one of the coordinators of the Predictions in Public project.
