Student project

Disaster Resilience Education (DRE) of children is a key feature of Disaster Risk Reduction efforts worldwide and research supports its effectiveness. In Australia, the emergency management (EM) sector is heavily involved in DRE for children, primarily through the provision of programs and resources for schools. Challenges for the EM sector include political boundaries, organisational structures, agency jurisdictions, a voluntary workforce, and the likely higher prevalence of disasters due to climate change.
