This series of invitation-only workshops are part of the Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC project Mapping and understanding bushfire and natural hazard vulnerability and risks at the institutional scale.
The purpose of these workshops is to explore how values at risk and risk ownership currently inform decision making through a series of structured exercises. Using the newly developed draft values-at-risk map and scenarios, we aim to identify gaps in the values currently represented and risk ownership at an institutional level, in the following areas:
How values at risk are currently understood and how these can best be represented in geography?
The types of decision-making structures which currently apply values at risk in strategic planning of natural hazard risk management.
What the current strengths and gaps in risk ownership at an institutional level are.
