Support of up to $2000 is available to support conference attendance by AFAC members who demonstrate that they have utilised Bushfire CRC research to improve the business of their organisation.
What is it about?
AFAC’s research utilisation approach is founded on the experience of the last 11 years of engaging with the former Bushfire CRC. While a learnt has been learnt, a question that continues to challenge is demonstrating the impact of the research.
The most powerful advocates for research are the end users who can articulate and demonstrate the impact research has had on their business.
AFAC is offering travel support for AFAC members to do just that. This initiative offers a number of benefits including;
The building of capability within agencies (preparation and presentation of research-based conference papers requires an appreciation of the research and the utilisation process);
Cases studies of research impact for sharing within the industry; and
Promotion of the value of research to our industry.
