The PhD research is being undertaken as part of the CRC project titled “Cost-effective mitigation strategy for building-related earthquake risk”. In this project, collapse performance of limited ductile high-strength reinforced concrete columns is investigated through experimental testing under uniaxial and biaxial cyclic actions. The primary objective of this research is to evaluate the seismic resilience of high-strength reinforced concrete columns constructed in high-rise buildings in Australia.
