The integration of spatial data into the disaster management cycle is critical to the success of decision support systems in the event of disasters. However in many cases the data exists in disparate locations, in incompatible formats, and the specific requirements are not even always well understood. This project will integrate people, organisations, and data to provide a common operating picture in support of all phases of the disaster management cycle. The focus will be to develop a decision support tool able to be used at both strategic and operational levels for disaster management.
