CRC PhD student Korah Parackal was a finalist for an award that recognises both his research and his communication skills.
Korah, from James Cook University, was one of six finalists in the CRC Association’s Showcasing Early Career Researchers competition, held on 14-15 May at the CRC Association’s annual conference in Sydney.
By making the finals, Korah has demonstrated that he can convey the aims of his research clearly and effectively, with a 30 second video describing his research on strengthening roofs to withstand cyclones.
He gave a five minute presentation on his research at the conference. The winner, Chuhao Liu from the Rail Manufacturing CRC, was selected by an audience vote.
