Following major natural hazard events, Risk Frontiers routinely undertakes research to better understand impacts and community behaviour.
This project is being completed with the support of the CRC's funding for quick response. It investigates the impacts of the January 2020 bushfires in NSW.
- develop an initial appreciation of the extent of impacts
- develop an understanding of community issues during and after fires
- develop an understanding of building vulnerability
Risk Frontiers will produce a briefing note summarising the research for distribution to its partners.
The research team will collect non-perishable data including photos of building damage, mapping and geospatial analysis of building damage, and community experiences.
