The panel for our 2015 International Day for Disaster Reduction event.
The Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC is a partner in the 10th Australasian Natural Hazards Management Conference, to be held in Perth from 30 October to 3 November. Hosted by the Office of Emergency Management of Western Australia, the theme for this year's conference is "translating research into practice."
All science papers will be considered for publication in the Australian Journal of Emergency Management.
It will provide a forum for discussion of the integration of hazard information into effective emergency risk management. Applying science and research information to best practice planning, warning, response and recovery capabilities lowers the impact of events on communities. The conference will bring together expertise from Australasia to enable the sharing of knowledge and strengthen collaboration. The key dates are:
Main conference - 31 October to 1 November
Field trips - 30 October, 2 and 3 November
Early Bird registrations are now open, visit www.anhmc.org to register.
Would you like to share your hazard knowledge at #ANHMC10? Abstract submissions are encouraged for oral presentations, posters or workshop sessions that align with the theme of #ANHMC10 - translating research into practice. Excellent examples where research has been taken and applied in practice are being sought.
Abstract submissions must be received by 1 June 2017. To submit your abstract (as well as abstract format requirements), go to www.anhmc.org/abstracts
