Exploring leadership for municipal climate change adaptation planning and implementation

The research phase of this PhD will examine the role and influence of municipal elected and executive leaders on the mainstreaming of climate-related risk mitigation and adaptation responses within four councils in Tasmania, using a case study approach. 

It is intended that this research will have world-class scholarly impact and direct, practical relevance to inform future municipal climate adaptation planning and implementation. Findings will be applicable to local government nationally and internationally, and those that support councils manage climate-related risk.
