This project was commissioned and funded entirely by the Inspector-general Emergency Management Queensland. 

The Office of the Inspector-General Emergency Management Queensland (IGEM) has used Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC research to assist with the 2018 Queensland Bushfire Review. 

On Saturday 24 November 2018, Queensland encountered rarely experienced hot weather conditions that continued into the following week. A review into the bushfires and heatwave was initiated by IGEM on behalf of the Minister for Fire and Emergency Services. 

The Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC was commissioned by IGEM to provide research and insight into the extreme weather event.
