This project was commissioned and funded entirely by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, Victoria.

This research provided fire agencies with a model for predicting the probability of first attack success for simulated fires. This model considered variables such as response time, weather conditions, number and type of resources used in fire suppression, fuel type and topography.
