This research will evaluate current land use planning policy in Melbourne, Australia in terms of how well it defines and addresses flood risk. The research will use a qualitative, case-study research method involving policy analysis and semi-structured interviews. Through this method, the research will seek to find where there are opportunities to more comprehensively and effectively treat flood risk through the land use planning system.
