With emergency service agencies looking to share responsibility for school education programs, this project is developing a comprehensive school safety framework for use in Victorian schools. This shared responsibility reflects the organising theme of Australia’s main natural disaster mitigation policy, the National Strategy for Disaster Resilience. Well-structured education programs are a major pathway identified in the Strategy, and this study will help to develop these programs.
