This project was commissioned and funded entirely by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning, Victoria.

In collaboration with the University of Melbourne, this project will research the effects of fire on ecosystem resilience to provide knowledge and evidence to support decision making for strategic bushfire management. This project will assess ecosystem resilience metrics across a key ecosystem and measure their effectiveness for guiding fire management in order to provide data for models and tools used for decision making in relation to bushfire management across the state. This is specifically in accord with ERP1-Framework for using and updating ecological models to inform bushfire management planning.
