Natural Hazards Research Australia (the Centre) is offering internship opportunities in two fields that are designed to improve Australia’s fire resilience and firefighting capability.
The internship projects, funded by the Centre and facilitated by Australian Postgraduate Research Intern (APR.Intern), are:
- Women in Mitigation: Identifying recruitment, retention and progression barriers to increase female representation in mitigation, with the New South Wales Rural Fire Service; and
- Optimising the type and location of aviation hubs and airbases to deliver efficient and effective aviation services, with the Queensland Fire Department.
Find all details about the internships and directions for your expression of interest from Wednesday 29 July here: aprintern.org.au/available-internships/
Information on the first phase of the internship program that has now wrapped up can be found here: naturalhazards.com.au/education-programs/internships
Keep an eye on the APR.Intern website, because a third fire-related internship stream will be announced there soon.
