About
Zeinab Yazdanfar

Zeinab’s project is improving the estimation of fuel moisture content through integrating advanced microwave scanning radiometers derived with near surface soil moisture and vegetation water content. She is also comparing radiometer observations and model estimates with ground-based measurements to develop the quality control and bias correction algorithms and characterise the model and observation errors.

Student project

This project aims to improve the estimation of fuel moisture content through the assimilation of advanced microwave scanning radiometers derived near surface soil moisture and vegetation water content. Prior to assimilation, the radiometer observations and model estimates will be compared against ground based measurements to develop the quality control and bias correction algorithms and characterise the model and observation errors.
