The International Association of Wildland Fire has added three new Australian representatives to its Board.
The Communications Manager of the Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC, David Bruce, has been elected and will assist with the association's development of communications and publications. David remains on the Editorial Advisory Board of the IAWF Wildfire magazine
Murray Carter, the Director of the Office of Bushfire Risk Management in Western Australia, and Euan Ferguson, former Chief Fire Officer of the Victorian Country Fire Authority, have also been elected for two year terms.
Current Board member, Alen Slijepcevic, Deputy Chief Officer at the Victorian Country Fire Authority is the new IAWF vice-president.
Outgoing Board directors include the CEO of the Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC, Dr Richard Thornton and Alan Goodwin, Chief Fire Officer at the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.
