New publications on our website in the last month include journal articles analysing findings from seven post-bushfire community safety studies since 2009, a review of volunteered geographic information for disaster management, the effects of sleep restriction on firefighters’ physical task performance, comparing several plausible causes of decision delay to determine why householders delay their decision to defend or evacuate, the role of social science in the governance and management of wildland fire, examining local constructions of bushfire risk, and the likelihood of ignition of dry-eucalypt forest litter by firebrands.
