New publications on the website in the last month include a report from a commissioned research project, as well as a number of journal papers.
The full report into the fire risk in areas of Queensland impacted by Tropical Cyclone Marcia earlier this year can be accessed here.
Journal articles now online include papers from the Scientific diversity, scientific uncertainty and risk mitigation policy and planning project clarifying the role scientific uncertainties play in the mitigation of natural hazards, assessing the vulnerability of floodways under extreme floods from the Enhancing resilience of critical road infrastructure: bridges, culverts and floodways study and a review of informal volunteerism in emergencies and disasters by the Out of uniform project.
Phd student Caroline Wenger has reviewed the place of levees in flood management and current state arrangements.
Additionally, a paper completed through the Bushfire CRC on simulating boundry-layer rolls with a numerical weather prediction model is now available.
