North Australia Fire Managers Forum

Fire managers from across the north of Australia discussed topics of current interest to the region at the North Australian Fire Management Forum in Cairns, from 30 June 2015 - 1 July 2015.

An outcome of the meeting is the annual Bushfire Seasonal Outlook for northern Australia - the Outlook was distributed as a Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC Hazard Note on 13 July.

The forum began with a series of presentations and discussion on major topics. On the second day, a field trip viewed local fire management practices.

The forum was hosted by Queensland Fire and Emergency Services at Cairns Colonial Club Resort and Conference Centre
