Community Engagement NSW

The Australian Community Engagement and Fire Awareness Conference is an event hosted by the NSW RFS, at the Novotel Northbeach, Wollongong, 22-24 May 2014

The Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC shared a popular exhibition space with the Austalasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council at the conference.

The event is designed to bring together community engagement practitioners from emergency services, government and private sectors with the aim of sharing knowledge, experiences and best practice in engaging with our communities to improve community safety.

The 2014 conference theme was ‘Mission Possible’. This conference focused on sharing, adopting, adapting and applying good practice to build resilience to bush fires now and into the future.
